1:00 p.m. New York Power Authority Executive Board Room – 10th Floor 30 South Pearl Street Albany, NY 12207 New York State Canal Corporation 149 Northern Concourse Suite 300 North Syracuse, NY 13212 (via videoconference)The New York State Canal Recreationway Commission was created by the New York State Legislature in 1992 under Article XIII-A, Section 138-a of the Canal Law, to advise the Canal Corporation on canal-related activities.
The New York State Canal System is comprised of four historic waterways, the Erie, the Champlain, the Oswego and the Cayuga-Seneca Canals. Spanning 524 miles across New York State, the waterway links the Hudson River, Lake Champlain, Lake Ontario, the Finger Lakes and Lake Erie (via the Niagara River) with communities rich in history and culture.
